eft//Summer Clash '07
|
This 6v6 tournament is based on trust, respect and sportsmanship. Not all teams know each other, but here's the opportunity to change this.
These rules were created
- to prevent that the tournament declines in chaos but runs smoothly.
- to prevent that the tournament admins have a full time job administrating the tournament.
- to ensure that the tournament is as fair as possible.
If something is not covered by these rules, the tournament admins will try to find a fair solution!

Organization
- The tournament is played in double elimination with 16 teams. The grand final match is played as winner-take-all.
- If a squad with 10 or more players encounters a squad with 8 or less, the bigger squad has to accept one of at least two proposed dates. In other cases the match dates are negotiable.
Anyway, the arranged date has to be posted by BOTH opponents in the respective thread created for that match.
- If you cannot agree on a date, the team which shows up with 6 players at 21:00 on the last day of the timeframe on an previously assinged server (tournament admins will be aware if such a situation may occur) is announced as winner.
- After the match, both opponents post the result in the respective thread.
If only one opponent posted, that result will be taken for granted after the time frame for that match ended.
- All matches will be broadcasted and recorded by ETTV. Thus matches have to take place on servers listed in the server list.
After the opponents arranged a confirmed match date, a server gets assigned and posted in the respective thread. This may take up to a day, so do not arrange matches thoughtlessly within the next minutes.
- The servers should be checked out at least one day before the match for lags. This may enable teams to post in their match thread to ask for an alternative.
- The password for the servers will be given to the teamleaders and won't change during the tournament.
- The delay of the ETTV servers is 2 minutes. Everyone is invited to watch the matches. The ETTV servers do not have a password protection.

Match rules
- Config Played is the Clanbase 6on6 config.
- Tactics considered to be illegal by clanbase, bug exploitation and cheats are not allowed.
- A cointoss should be issued to determine who will start with his map.
- After the order is determined the maps are revealed.
- Each team will decide on which side to start on the map chosen by opponent.
- In case the game is tied after the 2 first maps, an extra round MUST be played on one of the remaining maps from the maplist.
The third map will be selected using the elimination system. The winner of the coinflip eliminates the first map, followed by the other team until one map is left to be played.
When a map is selected, the team which didn't have final pick chooses who attacks first.
- Ties are not allowed. If the decider map has been played and both teams did not set a time (double fullhold in decider) another decider is played from the remaining map pool. This may continue until a winner is found.
- Substitutes are allowed but can be done only during map changes, intermissions or pauses. A maximum of 2 substitutes are allowed per team in the match.
- Both players have the right to pause the match, 2 times per round.
- Two spectators per team are allowed. Teams should use the /speclock command to block the view of the opponent's spectator and /specinvite to invite theirs. Spectators must be muted.
