Are you sure they are in the same group? Perhaps you have given each brush its own func_group.
Try to select all the brushes you want to be in a group, right click on any of the views (except 3D view), go to 'func > func_group'.

| Ahh, it doesn't work in 1.5, which I am using bc of vista. Guess I'll have to get by otherwise.

Why? lol
Saving maps on it is really messed up as I've heard, and I already got used to .5 x)

Hmm, if I have the edge of a brush between the segments of a grid (due to some fancy less than 90deg rotating or w/e), is there any way to align it back onto the grid?
Legend: x ->void; - ->grid, o ->edge over x, a ->edge over -
do no want---v
-------------------------
oooaooxx-xxxx-xxxx
xxxx-xoxx-xxxx-xxxx
xxxx-xoxx-xxxx-xxxx
--------a----------------
xxxx-xoxx-xxxx-xxxx
want---v
aaaaaaaaa-----------
xxxx-xxxxaxxxx-xxxx
xxxx-xxxxaxxxx-xxxx
xxxx-xxxxaxxxx-xxxx
aaaaaaaaa-----------
xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx
A tool or something to move a thing to certain coordinates or something would fix this prob.

... can you take a screenshot in radiant? xD
You can move the edges of a brush in two ways. One is by selecting a brush (or multiple brushes) and pressing 'e'. The other is by pressing 'v'. 'V' editing will make you edit the vertices, while 'e' makes you edit the edges. I use 'V' editing a lot when making terrain, 'E' is a bit more suitible for cliffs.

But ascii is way more fun
And vertices/edges, I'm not that basic x), don't worry. I've done a bit of 3dsmax, so I'm quite at home with those, I use them for pretty much everything, a lot more than the Q tool (resize/move).
I mainly use v for whatever I can and E if the vertices go too close to each other (they start dragging in the other ones as well @.@) .

From that picture it seems that your grid size is pretty big. Try to lower the grid size (with the numerical keys), and then move it into bigger ones one step at a time. I hope you can understand what I mean Very hard to explain.

| Nah that is grid size 1, I wouldn't be much of a problem if it was bigger xD

| The vertice should automatically snap to the nearest grid when you move it.

| Yeah well but if I've rotated it by degrees not dividable by 90, they might get somewhere in between, as I mentioned a few posts ago (illustrated by the small picture too, which has a grid size of 1 [aka smallest]). And its extra work making airtight structures if a part of the map is 'somewhere in between'.

| Thats right, but you can also 'rotate' the brush by dragging the verticies around until it is the angle you need. That way the edges will be on the grid.

| Yeah, I do use that as an alternative, but it would be much more comfortable if you could just fix the vertices x).
